Eligibility - Farmers can receive the grant up to 5 times with a lifetime funding maximum of $30,000. Priority still goes to those who have never received the grant. One-to-one replacement of storm losses are not eligible projects for the grant.
August 3 - application opens and will be posted on our website. Please encourage people to get information directly from the AgOptions website, not through internet searches or AI tools. People had a lot of wrong/outdated information last year.
October 9 - Intent to Apply due through Google form that will be distributed at info sessions, on AgOptions website, and to you. The link is also in the instructions on the application. You can help them fill it out, or even do it for them, but please be clear about your expectations either way. Our goal is not to test their tech abilities but to have a streamlined way of making sure they're working with their Extension agents. This format is new, so former recipients may not be aware of the new requirement to fill out the form. Please help us get the word out to folks that contact you.
November 9 - application due at midnight. Hardcopy, mailed, and hand-delivered all due on the same date at the same time. Also on this one, please be clear about who is submitting the application. A couple of folks last year thought their agent would be submitting it, and that was not the case.
