Managing Your Blueberry & Grape Vines

The N.C. Cooperative Extension Service will be holding a seminar on how to establish and maintain your blueberries and grapevines. Topics include the basic cultural needs of blueberries and American bunch grapes. Learn more about site selection and preparation, proper soil conditions, fertility needs, spacing, trellising, weed control, choosing the right cultivar, pruning, training, and harvesting. Finally, we will discuss the most common disease and insect problems and their possible control options.

  • Monday, March 4, 2019, at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Swain County Center on 60 Almond School Rd. Bryson City, N.C. in room 114 from 2–4 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Jackson County Center on 876 Skyland Dr. Sylva, N.C. in the conference room from 6–8 p.m.
